What would you do to help this 70 yrs old female patient with a degenerative scoliosis, an L5 isthmic lysis and a left L5-S1 foraminal stenosis? Some insight: Left L5 sciatica pain (VAS 10/10) was the main source of pain. For that reason, she had been bedridden for the last 3 months. When she came to consultation, she also had back pain (VAS 8/10). This is how we solve it through an endoscopic foraminotomy, using an interlaminar contralateral approach.
