This video demonstrates two types of aneurysm: a thin-walled saccular aneurysm at the MCA bifurcation and a thick-walled fusiforms aneurysm incorporating the proximal 2cm of the temporal M2 division of MCA. The saccular aneurysm, which poses a high risk of rupture, is clipped. The fusiform aneurysm, which can not be clipped since it incorporates a major cerebral artery, poses a lower risk of rupture. It's wall is reinforced by wrapping with Muslin gauze. |
