In order to avoid a shunt, this Endoscopic Third Ventriculostomy procedure will aim to create a new outlet to communicate to the ventricals of the brain and to the subarachnoid space. The next step is to coagulate the choroid plexus of the ventricals of the brain to help decrease the production of the spinal fluid. |
