| Video Discription | This video describes and illustrates the orbital tumor removal in a patient with proptosis. A slightly more prominent (larger) appearing eye can have an orbital tumor. The patient in this video, Mr Vijay Reddy, aged 44 years from Hyderabad, India has a tumor below his left eye since 5 years and this tumor causes a bulge below the eye. The vision is disrupted by this tumor. CT Scan done on him showed a large tumor involving the left eye. This image is displayed in the video. The patient was treated by Dr. Debraj Shome, oculoplastic and facial plastic surgeon and the head director of The Esthetic Clinics (www.theestheticclinic.com) and a consultant of Saifee Hospital and Apollo Spectra Hospital in Mumbai, India. An inferior Orbitotomy surgery was performed to remove the tumor, it was a large lymphoma (cancerous tumor) measuring almost 3 cms in size. Since the surgery is performed through an inferior orbitotomy incision, no scar was showing post the surgery on the eyelid skin.
