| Video Discription | 48 yr old female presented to me 1 yr back with giddiness and headache, mri brain was s/o posterior fossa meningioma and hydrocephalus. She was operated with vp shunt and she improved. She was asked to get operated for posterior fossa mengioma after 1 month however she didnt turn up. 1 year latter mengioma grown to massive size and she presented with brainstem symptoms like imbalance while walking, nystagmus, change in voice etc. her preoperative ct scan is as shown. She was posted for surgery recently. Her menigioma was arrising from tentorium and was compressing on brainstem and cerebellum. Gradual complete excision of tumor was achieved after devascularising its blood supply from tentorium. Complete tumor removal took 7 hours. During surgery due to brainstem compression she had fluctuation of bp , heart rate and saturation which was successfully handled by our anesthesist. Postoperative scan shows complete tumor removal with postop edema in opeartive bed. Her short operative vdo is shown for demonstration. |
